On Thursday, December 3, 2020, a webinar was held for “Dementia Sensitivity Awareness” to help share best practices and resources on how age-friendly communities can be more sensitive to residents with dementia.
Objectives for this webinar include:
- Improved understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, including common symptoms
- Increased awareness of behavioral symptoms associated with dementia
- Methods to communicate effectively with persons with dementia
- Information to local resources available to assist those with dementia, their families, and caregivers
