Age-Friendly Workshop Series

WORKSHOP SERIESOVERVIEW

Miami Dade’s older adult population is growing like never before, and the quality of life of older adults is greatly affected by local policies, programs and neighborhood environments. The Miami-Dade Age-Friendly Initiative is focused on helping local governments, sector leaders, and advocates improve our community, so that it supports a high quality of life for all ages and abilities. Aseries of three workshops are being held on September 7, 21, and 28, 2016 and each focused on a priority area including Parks & Outdoor Spaces, Housing, and Transportation, respectively. These workshopswill provide tools and information to assist leaders in identifying and implementing age-friendly strategies at the local level.
