The next Age-Friendly Initiative Stakeholder Committee meeting will be held on September 3, 2024, from 3:30-5:00 pm. This meeting will be held in-person at the Arcola Lakes Branch Library (8240 Northwest 7th Avenue, Miami, FL 33150).

In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Month this September, we are grateful to have NAMI Miami-Dade presenting at this meeting. Rev. Lisa LeSueur, Suicide Prevention Initiative Coordinator, will discuss Suicide Risk in Older Adults.

Additionally, we will provide updates on AFI activities, outline action items to advance our efforts, and hear from our host–the Miami-Dade Public Library System–on age-friendly library services available for community members.

Meeting directions:

Parking lots are located on both the north and south sides of the building. You can enter our parking lot from two areas: the north side of the building at 83rd Street and the east side of the building at 7th Avenue.

Participants are asked to enter through the main entrance. The meeting will take place in the multipurpose room, located on the west side of the building.
