September Older Adults Advisory Group Meeting

Join the Age Friendly Initiative partners and older adults from throughout Miami-Dade County to inform and guide the next 5 years of our work!

We are excited to invite you to the final Older Adults Advisory Committee Meeting of the 2023-2024 program year. We will focus on updating our progress on the issues affecting our senior community, and on codesigning plans. Join us for an informative and engaging day where we will discuss important topics affecting the built and social environments that connect and intersect to create a more age-friendly community and  share resources  and upcoming opportunities that are available to our residents.

This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, gain valuable insights, and have your questions answered by experts in the field. Refreshments and ample time for socializing and networking will be provided.

During this meeting you will:

• Gain insights into the Age-Friendly Initiative’s evolution and understand the foundational work that has shaped our community for the last 11 years. 
• Learn about upcoming projects we have been working on to help older adults thrive
• Understand how your voice guides the process and action around developing and implementing age-friendly efforts throughout the County.
• Share your thoughts and ideas about how Miami-Dade can become more age-friendly and cater to YOUR NEEDS!
• Connect to the Initiative, partners, and other older adults who are passionate about improving our community. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends and learn from each other.
• Come celebrate and participate in the activities and refreshments we have in store and enjoy the company!
